The AI Buildathon is designed specifically for marketers, with a focus on practical, real-world applications of AI across messaging, content strategy, and AEO/GEO visibility.
We’ll be using United Way of New York City as the use case, helping tackle an actual marketing challenge they have while learning workflows and strategies you can apply directly back at work.
No AI experience needed, just bring curiosity. If you’ve used AI tools before, even better. What's an AI Buildathon?
A buildathon is a fast-paced, collaborative sprint where you'll be put into a team with other marketers and use AI tools to build marketing strategies and campaigns for a deserving nonprofit. Come as a team or join solo.

UWNYC's marketing challenge
New York City isn’t a cheap place to live, and thousands of working New Yorkers struggle to make ends meet every month despite having jobs. Together with your teams, you'll help United Way of NYC explore how to tell the story of ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) in a more modern, emotionally resonant way that connects with a new generation of donors. Teams will create solutions for positioning, content strategy and AI discoverability.
